Choices:
Think about your average day. Have you ever thought about what percentage of the activities that you do on a daily basis bring you joy? The clothes you wear. Are they comfortable? The friends you hang out with. Do you feel refreshed or drained after interacting with them? Many people make their daily choices in order to fulfill the expectations of others. Others who got there first and set the rules. There is room to move within those rules however. It all comes down to choices. We must make choices that ultimately lead to nourishing, well balances, healthy lives in order to feel some sort of satisfaction with our experience here on Earth. Although humans often believe themselves to be the superior species on the Earth. It is interesting that as the dominant species so many spend time, the precious finite commodity of life, doing things they hate to do. It seems odd. Most species I have observed seem to do things they need to do and things that bring them pleasure, when they are left to their own devices. As superior beings, perhaps we should be afforded the luxury of living a life that makes us happy whenever possible. |
